Current availability

New account authorization is not currently enabled on hosted Velocity. The steps below describe the implemented connection for an instance with its provider OAuth application configured. Existing configured connections can use the signed webhook workflow. Use the public integration catalog to find workflows currently available on hosted Velocity.

Connect your workspace

  1. As a workspace owner or admin, open Settings → Integrations and choose Connect on Netlify. Complete the account authorization, then return to Velocity.
  2. Open the connected Netlify integration. Copy its Webhook URL. In the webhook secret panel, generate a secret you can copy once. If a secret already exists, regenerate it and update Netlify during the displayed overlap window.
  3. In Netlify, open the project's deploy notifications and add an HTTP Post Request notification for the deploy outcomes you need. Paste the Velocity URL and the generated secret into Netlify's JWS secret token field. Velocity requires signed callbacks.

Link a deployment to an issue

Use a Velocity issue identifier such as WEB-42 in the deploy's branch or commit message. The receiver finds a matching issue in the connected workspace and records its deployment status and URL. Include the same identifier in a harmless test deployment, then inspect the integration event and linked issue.

Choose comment behavior

The connection defaults to comments for successful and failed deployments. Building and canceled states stay quieter. To disable terminal comments, save auto_comment: false in the integration configuration. This integration receives deployment results; your Netlify build process starts deployments.

Troubleshooting

If callbacks are refused, compare the current callback URL and signing secret in both tools. If an event has no linked issue, check its branch or commit identifier and workspace. An account authorization by itself does not install the outgoing notification in Netlify.
